Mt Emei 1 day tour

Mt.Emei is located in Emei Mount City 160 km. south west of Chengdu. It is 3099 M above sea level. It is known as "the fairest mountain among the fair mountains in the world”for its majesty and beauty.

Mt. Emei is one of four sacred Buddhist mountains.As early as the second century, Buddhists began to build temples and monasteries on the mountain. By the end of sixth century, it had become a noted Buddhist place. There were 151 monasteries scattered all over the mountain, but more than twenty still remain today. Mt Emei is a Buddhist sanctuary for pilgrims. Mt.Emei is an ideal place for sightseeing. It is famous for its'ten scenic spots' such as "Bubbling-notes under the Shuangfei Bridges'，'Autumn Breeze over the Baishui Monastery'，'Auspicious Rays on the Golden Summit' and so on.

Itinerary

Our guide will greet you at your hotel lobby and we then do a 2.5hrs drive to Emei Mt. It’s impossible to finish whole Mt. in one day,So we choose the half Mt. to visit. Because this route has more view and temple to see, and if you just want to see the golden summit in 1 day or have 2 days in Emei Mt, please feel free to let us know, that we happy to give you a new plan for your trip.

we shall take green bus up to Wan Nian temple Parkinig, and walk or use cable car(optional) up to the Wan Nian temple( ten thousands years temple) we shall have another 2 hrs hiking down to Wu Xian Gang green bus Parking, and back to our car in the end. We could see the temples, river, pavilions, lake and monkeys (maybe). It's a wonderful chance to have lunch in villagers' restaurants, you must enjoy the local bamboo shoot, local sausage and Bacon etc.
