It is very easily connected from Lucerne by boat to Vitznau. The 360-degree views from the top are stunning and the countless optional activities provide full relaxation for everybody.

Combine your mountain excursion with some relaxing hours at the Rigi Kaltbad Mineral Baths & Spa which delivers an exclusive wellness experience surrounded by a legendary Alpine landscape. Unwind and pamper yourself.

Visit: Mt. Rigi, Lucerne 6354 Switzerland

Board your boat at Pier 1 for independent transport across Lake Lucerne (2nd class), and start your unguided Swiss Alps tour to Mt Rigi with splendid views along one of Switzerland’s most beautiful lakes. Disembarking at Vitznau, climb aboard the cogwheel train for a ride up to Rigi Kulm, aka ‘Queen of the Mountains.’

When it’s time, the cogwheel train transports you down to the mountain resort of Rigi Kaltbad. The Rigi Kaltbad Mineral Baths & Spa was designed by renowned Swiss architect Mario Botta. Its tranquil and contemplative ambience makes it the perfect place for rest and relaxation.

After your time at the Mineral Bath take the aerial cable car from here and drift down to the pretty lakeside town of Weggis or continue from Rigi Kaltbad by train back to Vitznau before making your way to the shore where your boat awaits for a return ride across Lake Lucerne, bringing you back to the pier in the evening.
