Mycological Tour in Villa del Carbon Magical Town from Mexico City

Live an incredible experience in the forests of the magical town of Villa del Carbón, where you will enjoy nature, we will make a photo safari of toxic mushrooms and collection of edible fungi. We will delight in the food with the mushrooms and tortillas made by hand. You'll love it!

We will finish our day with a visit to the center of the town, we will take a tour to taste rompope and to know the local crafts

We will pick you up at your hotel at 6:30 am to head to the Magic Village of Villa del Carbón.

At 8:00 am we will arrive at the starting point of the mushroom picking walk, we will give you the indications to enter the forest. Our guide will show you the species of mushrooms that are toxic so you can take pictures of these and the guide will give you an explanation of them.

During our tour the guide will show you the fungus species that are edible and we will do the collection, as these will be the food of today!

At 1:00 pm we will descend the mountain and we will go to the point where we will eat with freshly made tortillas. After the meal we will have an opportunity to know a little about Mexican herbalism.

At 3:30 pm we will visit the town center where we will take a short tour and taste rompope and you will get to know the local crafts

Our return to CDMX will be at 7:00 pm
