At the top of hill, magnificent Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery will catch eyes immediately. A Tibetan Buddhhist temple with sprawling monastic complex which was officially open for the tourist in 2008. Namobudhha is one of the three most important Buddhist pilgrimage sites along with Boudhanath and Swoyambhunath. An inspiring legend about the Budhha, makes this site a great holy place for Buddhist people. According to the legend, Lord Budhha in his previous life was a prince, encountered an ill tigress while walking in the forest, that was close to death from starvation and unable to feed her cubs . With his compassion act, lord Budhha allowed to consume himself to starving tigress family. He then transported to the higher realms of existence with this did. In a small cave up to the forested path, just left of the stupa, a marble tablet depicts all the event.
