World Heritage Site Tour of Nepal includes a visit to all the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Nepal in a single trip of 12 days. this trip can also be extended by the trek to Everest Region. There are 10 world heritage sites in Nepal. Among them, 7 heritage site is inside Kathmandu valley. Further, more Popular tourist destination and city of lakes Pokhara adds extra flavour to this tour.
Cultural heritage sites include the 3 durbar squares of Kathmandu Valley. Furthermore, Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Lumbini and Changunarayan. Likewise, Chitwan National Park and Sagarmatha National Park are listed under natural heritage sites. We will be visiting all of these heritage sites except Sagarmatha National Park. During our mountain flight to Mt. Everest, we will be seeing Sagarmatha National Park from above the clouds. In conclusion, Some of these man-made wonders are over 2500 years old.

Itinerary

Day 1: Kathmandu Arrival, Transfer to Hotel

Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing

Stop At: Kathmandu Durbar Square, Kathmandu 44600 Nepal
This is another major historical places to see in Kathmandu. It offers wonderful places It is impressive and wonderful. There are a lot of places to see in Kathmandu Durbar Square premises. The wonderful temples and cultural sites give astounding experience in the heart of Kathmandu valley. This is the ancient royal palace of Nepal. Many cultural practices performed in this Durbar square. It takes around two hours to visit Kathmandu Durbar Square.

Stop At: Swayambhunath Temple, Swayamhu Circle Road, Kathmandu 44620 Nepal
The Swayambhunath temple is one of the holiest Buddhist Chaityas in Nepal, residing in the western part of Kathmandu valley. Swayambhunath also is known as ‘Monkey Temple’. This is the best place to see the entire city, as it is located on the top of the hill. Buddhists and Hindus both perform and worship here. There are a lot of small temples and monasteries to see around Swayambhunath temple. The wonderful views from the Swayambhunath temple are wonderful and it has huge significance as well. The total time spent at this temple will be around two hours and covers almost every part of the Swayambhunath temple.

Stop At: Boudha Stupa, Stupa, Boudhanath Sadak, Kathmandu 44600, Nepal
The Stupa belongs to Buddhists. It has great architectural values, ancient Buddhism philosophy and the Historical aspects. This Stupa is made up in a Mandala shaped area and has a giant dome. It is the centre hub of Buddhism in Nepal and is surrounded by hundreds of monasteries. Lichchavi rulers renovated the staple during 8th century, which has made on the shape of a Mandala. This is one of the most popular holy sites for Buddhist followers inside the Kathmandu valley. It is one of the important artefacts of Kathmandu valley. The total time spent at this temple will be around one and a half hours.

Pashupatinath temple is a highly revered temple of Kathmandu valley. There are a lot of places to see around Pashupatinath temple. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, this temple offers wonderful spiritual experiences and surroundings. It is situated 3 km northwest of Kathmandu on the banks of the Bagmati River, including many holy areas Deupatan, Jaya Bageshwori, Gaurighat (Holy Bath), Kutumbahal, Gaushala, Pingalasthan and Sleshmantak forest. There are around 492 temples, 15 Shivalayas (shrines of Lord Shiva) and 12 Jyotirlinga (phallic shrines) to explore.

Day 3: Patan and Bhaktapur Sightseeing

Stop At: Patan Durbar Square, Patan (Lalitpur) 44700 Nepal
Patan Durbar Square is a historical Durbar Square with lots of wonderful places around the premises. Newari architecture and monuments are the best attraction of this ancient place. Situated at the centre of the city of Lalitpur in Nepal. It is one of the three Durbar Squares in Kathmandu Valley, all of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. One of its attractions is the ancient royal palace where the Malla Kings of Lalitpur resided.

Bhaktapur Durbar Square is the plaza in front of the royal palace of the old Bhaktapur Kingdom and is one of three Durbar Squares in Kathmandu Valley in Nepal, all of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. While the complex consists of at least four distinct squares (Durbar Square, Taumadhi Square, Dattatreya Square and Pottery Square), the whole area is informally known as Bhaktapur Durbar Square and is a highly visited site in the Kathmandu Valley.

Stop At: Changu Narayan Temple, Changunarayan 44600, Nepal
The ancient Hindu temple of Changu Narayan is located on a high hilltop that is also known as Changu or Dolagiri. The temple was surrounded by champak tree forest and a small village known as Changu. The temple is located in Changunarayan Municipality of Bhaktapur District, Nepal. This hill is about 7 miles or 12 km east of Kathmandu and a few miles north of Bhaktapur. The Manohara River flows beside the hill. This shrine is dedicated to Lord Visnu and held in special reverence by the Hindu people. This temple is considered to be the oldest temple in the history of Nepal. The Kashmiri king gave his daughter, Champak, in marriage to the prince of Bhaktapur. Changu Narayan Temple is named after her.

Day 4: Everest Flight and Drive to Kathmandu

Stop At: Mount Everest, Sagarmatha National Park 00977 Nepal
you will have a mountain flight where you will have a stunning view of the Himalayas above and below 8,000 meters.

After the scenic flight, we will move back to the hotel. after breakfast, we will drive towards Chitwan

Day 5: Chitwan Sightseeing

Stop At: Bis Hazari Lake, भरतपुर 44200, Nepal
We will go on a drive to Bis Hazari Lake. In Nepali, Bis means Twenty and Hazar means thousand so the meaning of the lake is twenty thousand lakes in English. it is a protected area in inner terai in the buffer zone of Chitwan National Park.

After your Lunch, you will go on a canoe ride at Rapti river. it is one of the best ways to witness rare animals and reptiles. during your canoe ride, a professional English speaking guide will accompany you and help you in identifying the animals.

Day 6: Chitwan Jungle Safari

Stop At: Chitwan National Park, Main street Hatti Chwok, Sauraha 44200 Nepal
After early morning breakfast, we will start our Jeep safari to Chitwan National Park. During the trip, the guide will hang at the back of the vehicle to spot animals. He will also give information about the environment and wildlife. During our whole day we will be driving inside Chitwan National Park where we will be seeing many species of Reptiles, Birds, Mammals including one horn rhino & royal Bengal tiger if you are fortunate.

You can visit the Tharu village too. During your visit to Tharu village, you can witness their unique culture. Day 7: Drive to Lumbini

we will drive to Tilaurakot. It is believed to be the ancient kingdom of Shakya Dynasty. Tilaurakot is the place where Siddhartha Gautam spend 29 years as a prince.

Day 8: Lumbini Sightseeing

After breakfast, we will start exploring Lumbini starting with Maya Devi Temple and Ashoka Pillar. We will also be visiting Maya Devi Pond, Lumbini Museum, World Peace Pagoda Lumbini. We will also visit the temples which are built by different nations such as Thailand, Myanmar, China, Srilanka, Cambodia, Korea etc.

Day 9: Drive to Pokhara

Stop At: North East of Town Sarangkot, Pokhara 33411 Nepal
The view of the Annapurna Himalaya from Sarangkot (foreigner/Nepali Rs 50/20) is almost a religious experience. From here, you can see a panoramic sweep of Himalayan peaks, from Dhaulagiri (8167m) in the west to the perfect pyramid of Machhapuchhare (6997m), the tent-like peak of Annapurna II (7937m) to Lamjung (6983m) in the east. Most people come here at dawn or dusk, when the sun picks out the peaks, transforming them from a purple-pink to a celestial gold.

Day 10: Pokhara Sightseeing

Stop At: World Peace Pagoda, Pamdi Bhambadi G.V, Pokhara 33700, Nepal
Pokhara Shanti Stupa or World Peace Pagoda is a Buddhist pagoda-style monument on Anadu Hill of the former Pumdi Bhumdi Village Development Committee, in the district of Kaski, Nepal. Standing on top of the Anadu Hill, Shanti Stupa provides a panoramic view of the Annapurna range, Pokhara city and Fewa Lake. It is a perfect holiday place providing a clear view of the Himalayan range, Fewa Lake and Pokhara city. The hilltop provides a splendid view of sunrise and sunset. The pagoda is 7 kilometres from Mahendrapool, the major business spot in Pokhara.

Stop At: Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, 5XQ5+R4G, Pokhara 33700, Nepal
The cave is said to be have been discovered in the 16th century. The main cave entrance was not constructed until 1991. The main cave contains two chambers with several shrines located throughout. The largest of these shrines is dedicated to Shiva.There is lighting but it's only a series of small light bulbs. While primarily a religious site, the cow is a statue over a Shiva lingam. It's being developed as a tourist attraction these days. Continuing on the 40 or so meters down the cave passing other small statues and shrines you'll come across the main Shiva temple which has a strict rule about no photography. Continue on past the temple to the second part of the cave which is about 140 meters in length. Here the walls open up and you can see some nice colors in the cave walls. Further again and you'll come across a metal staircase leading downwards. You'll hear the waterfall ahead from here. Once you have descended the staircase you will have to walk across some uneven rocky ground until you get to an area with a view of the waterfall.

Stop At: Devi's Fall, Siddhartha Highway, Pokhara 33700 Nepal
The waterfall has a length of 500 meters and a depth of 100 feet. Though the waterfall flows all year round it is best viewed from June to September. An interesting note about the waterfall is that it runs down some rocks before disappearing into an underground tunnel leading to Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave.The waterfalls modern name is constantly debated. Its official name is Patale Chango. However, it's most popularly known as Davis Falls or Devis Falls due to a typographical mistake

Mountains and mountaineering have a history of their own. Without preserving it, it will not be long before all the records and evidence will be lost forever. Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA), established on 1 Nov 1973, initiated the establishment of International Mountain Museum (IMM) in Pokhara. The basic objective for its establishment was made to record, document and chronicle the past and present development of mountaineering activities in the world in general and to preserve the saga of the momentous feats in the history of mountaineering in the Himalayan peaks in particular.

Day 11: Drive to Kathmandu

Thamel is in Kathmandu. It is a haven for tourists visiting the city. It contains numerous hotels, restaurants, and shops that cater specifically to western tourists. It is located in the northern region of Kathmandu past the government district on Tridevi Marj. Although some consider it to be overcrowded it has been used by westerners since the 1970s when hippies in the region discovered it. Although now it has become quite commercial. Thamel is an easy walk from anywhere in central Kathmandu. Though the roads can be quite busy during the day, and traffic can be quite heavy.
