Experience Chimpanzee trekking in Gombe.

On this tour, we fly out to the wild shores of Lake Tanganyika & take a ride to Gombe stream national park this park was home to the famous primatologist Dr. Jane Goodall. The main attractions are hiking, swimming, birding, wildlife viewing, and chimpanzee expedition.

Itinerary

Day 1: Fly from Dar es salaam to Kigoma then Gombe National Park.

Stop At: Gombe Stream National Park, Gombe National Park Tanzania
From Dar es salaam airport 09:10 am to Kigoma. Arrive at Kigoma airport at 12:10. Pick up on arrival and transfer to a nearby port (kibirizi) for your transfer to Gombe (2 hours). Pick up on arrival and transfer to the camp, 14h00 hot lunches at the camp. Afterwards you will proceed with an exploration of wildlife such as baboon vervet monkey, colobus monkey, and Chimpanzee in the forest.

Day 2: Gombe Stream National Park – Chimpanzee Tracking.

Stop At: Gombe Stream National Park, Gombe National Park Tanzania
On 08h30, Start Chimpanzee tracking in the forest, Gombe became well known for the conservation project started from Jane Goodall, who first arrived in Gombe in 1960. Apart from chimpanzee viewing, there are many other activities such as climb to Jane’s peak and visit Kakombe waterfalls if time allows. Meals and overnight at Gombe rest house.

Day 3: Gombe to Kigoma/ fly back to Dar-es-salaam.

In the morning after breakfast, pick up and transferred back to Kigoma town. Pick up on arrival and transfer to the airport for your flight back to Dar es salaam 12:50.
