Nora was first Nuragic, Phoenician, then Punic and finally Roman, as shown by its marvelous ruins.

Just north of the excavations are the beach and the lagoon, at the base of the peninsula we find the ancient Churchof Sant'Efisio, glorious martyr, dating back to the eleventh century AD. At the end of the headland rises the spanish Tower of Coltellazzo
