On this tour we usually start at 9 am and, after one hour driving, we start with a city centre walking tour and the story of the amazing history of Novi Sad, multiculturalism and 'easy going' life style. Old buildings, streets and parks are just a part of the scenes that you are going to see and hear about. After approximately 1.5 hours of city centre walking tour, you will visit the pearl of the European fortresses - Petrovaradin, that was one of the most important bordering fortress in the whole of the Austro-Hungarian empire. An underground tunnel complex tells the story of the invincibility of the fortress and definitely is the highlight of the tour. Visit to these tunnels lasts for half an hour. Optional coffee/tea break follows at one of the fortress restaurants with an amazing view of the Novi Sad city, bridges and Danube river.
Just 15 minutes’ drive from Novi Sad, your next destination is a charming baroque little city of Sremski Karlovci which lies at the foot of Fruska Gora National Park where you will have lunch break and taste some Serbian food specialities and wines from the Fruska Gora region. Then a relaxing drive back to Belgrade where our guide will drop you off at around 5 pm.
