A sunrise hot-air balloon flight over the Serengeti sure is one of the most unforgettable and extraordinary adventures you can do and it’s definately one of the main highlights of your safari.

The hot-air balloon gently takes you up in the air and floats wherever the morning winds may take you. During the ride you have a stunning and far-reaching view of the great plains of the serengeti. You can spot big herds of wildebeast, giraffes and lions right below you. At the right time of year and with a good amount of luck you might even be able to experience the great migration.
The dry season (June to October) is the ideal time for a hot-air balloon safari. During the rainy months (March, April & May), some balloon rides are still available, but the actual flight is dependent on weather conditions. During heavy rains and/or winds the balloon unfortunately can’t take off.

Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Serengeti National Park, Serengeti National Park

At 0500hrs you will be collected from the lodge in Serengeti and transfer you to the Maasai Copjes, here you will meet your pilot for briefing and watch of your balloon. Pick p and drop off at Seronera Hotel/Camp
At dawn the balloon takes off, rising as the sun rises and floats in whichever direction the winds of the morning takes it. Your pilot can precisely control the altitude of your balloon; sometimes flying at treetop height, sometimes lower, offering a unique perspective and great photographic opportunities of the wildlife bellow
The flight is for about one hour aerial game viewing depending on conditions, and eventually you might land. You celebrate in the traditional manner with champagne before sitting down to a full English breakfast prepared and served in the bush in out of Africa style, linen table cloths, kings silver etc.

After BUSH breakfast you receive your Certificate and drive you back to the lodge and then continue with the scheduled program of the day.
