Osaka Backstreet Night Tour

Combine the famous food scene of Osaka with our local knowledge of some of the most unique drinking establishments in town! Enjoy great local food, delicious drinks and boutique bars on a walking tour through the heart of Namba, Shinsaibashi and Amemura. Sample local favourites including fresh sushi, grilled yakitori and a huge range of drinks possibilities as your English speaking guide expertly navigates through the backstreets.

We will meet you in the heart of Namba (detailed meeting instruction upon booking) and begin by heading on foot to a local 'izakaya' to get to know each other and sample the raucous atmosphere of downtown Osaka by night! At our first location, we will have our first (but not last) 'Kampai' of the evening and try a range of Japanese foods including fresh sushi, grilled yakitori and the local speciality, takoyaki!

From here, your guide will steer you to a local backstreet drinking establishment for a post dinner drink where you can expect to meet some of the locals, learn a little survival drinking Japanese and discover what makes this city so famous as the nightlife centre of West Japan!

Next, we head north past the iconic 'Glico running man' for photos before more refreshments and to see where the night takes us... often to singing our hearts out at a Karaoke bar!
