Otranto and CastroFull-Day Tour

Visit Otranto, is a charming town and small port on the Adriatic sea with its famous cathedral, castle and surrounded by a spectacular sea of sky blue color, after a delicious lunch in Castro, we will travel to Castro, another beautiful city on the sea and very suggestive with the emerald green sea color.

Departure from your accomodation at 9.30 am, back at 6.00 pm.

We begin the day exploring the stunning seaside town of Otranto,  one of Puglia's most vibrant towns, overlooking a stunning harbour recognized by Unesco and named as one of the “Borghi piu’belli d’Italia” (one of the most beautiful small towns in Italy). Here we will explore the charming historical centre and visit the beautiful  cathedral boasting breathtaking  mosaics and the skulls and bones of 800 martys.  It is here that St Peter is fabled to have celebrated the first western mass and also from where crusaders and knight templars left for the Holy Land.

 We will have our delicious  lunch at the celebrated “Pizzica" in the stunning seaside town of Castro, after lunch we will visit Castro a beautiful fishing village where the town complete with Medieval Castle appears to cling to the cliffs.
