Stop At: Parque Nacional Volcan De Pacaya, Escuintla Guatemala
Pacaya is the most active Volcano in Guatemala. It boasts beautiful rivers of lava which can be seen year-round, weather permitting.
These rivers of lava are best seen before the sun rises. Once atop Pacaya we'll roast marshmallows in the lava and have a cup of hot chocolate / coffee where we'll enjoy a stellar view of Volcan de Agua, Volcan de Fuego and Volcan Acatenango.
We'll spend about 45 minutes at the top and then begin our descent, which usually takes about an hour.
On our way back into Antigua we'll pass by Zone 0, which what we now call the area that got devastated by Volcan de Fuego's eruption back in June 2018.
The group will be back in Antigua at around 9:30am.
