5 Hr Combo-Panama Canal boat ride+Monkey Isles+Rainforest walk & Local Breakfast

In this tour uou will get up close with the Panama Canal and the abundance of wildlife on its shores.  You will take a cruise in a boat right next to the transiting ships and visit islands in Gatun Lake that are full of wildlife.

We will get to taste Panamenian food with some amazing views of the Panama Canal, followed by a Rainforest Walk in the Soberanía National Park.

Pass By: Panama City, Panama City, Panama Province

To start this tour, you will be picked up at central Panama City Hotels and taken to the old Panama Canal Zone. Pickup at hotels outside of central Panama City can be arranged at an additional cost.

Stop At: Pedro Miguel, Panama

We will make a quick stop at the Pedro Miguel Locks to see the Panama Canal Locks from a distance. Due to Covid prevention measures in place by the government we cannot enter the locks or visitor's centers.

Stop At: Panama Canal, Panama City Panama

After our stop at the locks, we will drive halfway up the Panama Canal to the town of Gamboa, where the Chagres River meets the canal. Here we will enter our covered boat to start our eco cruise.
During your 75-minute eco-cruise you will ride along the waters of the Panama Canal right next to the ships passing through on their way to the Atlantic or Pacific Oceans.  The destination is Gatun Lake, where you will cruise around islands created during the canal construction and see the abundant wildlife on their shores.

Stop At: Monkey Island, Gatun Lake, Panama City Panama

During the eco-cruise, you will visit the famous Monkey Islands where we can see capuchins, howlers, and tamarins in their natural habitat.  The islands are situated in a world renowned tropical birding area, and along the shores you might catch glimpses of crocodiles, capybara, coati, agouti, iguanas, and much more.

Stop At: Soberania National Park, Area Canalera de Gamboa, Panama City Panama

After the boat ride, we will have a coffee and restroom break in the town of Gamboa. After our break, we will enjoy a walk in Soberania National Park. Here we can experience nature in one of the most biodiverse rain forests in the world. The length of the walk and type of trail will be determined by the guide after consulting with our guests about their physical capabilities.

We will drive over the Centennial Bridge and you can enjoy some views of the Gaillard cut and the New and Old Locks
