Your first stop is at a winery where you can indulge in an extended tasting of five wines, including reserves, and local products including cheese, sausage, ham, bread, and crackers. Travel to the top of Monchique mountains, the highest point in the south of Portugal, where on clear days it is possible to see across the entire Algarve region and the Portuguese coastline to the Arrábida mountains close to Lisbon.
Next, stop at a traditional
medronho (brandy) distillery for another tasting. Have lunch at a top quality restaurant ("Luar da Fóia") in the town of Monchique, which offers views to the Algarve coastline. Indulge in the daily selection of the best Portuguese cuisine specialties, including a starter, main course, wine, dessert, and coffee.
Your tour concludes with a hotel drop-off back in the Portimão area at around 3:30pm.
