Itinerary

Day 1: Andes, Cotopaxi Volcano and Inca Ruins

Stop At: Cotopaxi National Park, Ecuador
We start at 08h00 from your hotel, we will travel south along the avenue of the volcanoes. At 09h30 we will admire

Cotopaxi Volcano (5.897 meters), and we´ll be surrounded by amazing pristine forests, mountains, lagoons, wild horses and ecosystems that may change as you go higher! You will see also the exotic wildlife while we walk around Limpiopungo Lake (3.800 m.a.s.l.)! Then we will have the amazing challenge to drive uphill to the parking lot located at 4.500 meters above sea level, in order to reach an altitude of 4.800 meters, where the refuge “Jose Rivas” is!

Stop At: Cotopaxi National Park, Ecuador
We will visit San Agustín del Callo, an impressive colonial farm house in Ecuador, built over Inca structures!
Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Tungurahua, Banos Ecuador
In the afternoon we go towards Baños de Agua Santa (1.800 m), located at the foothills of Tungurahua Volcano (5.000 m) which has been in eruption since 1999! We will stay the overnight at the Hotel Volcano. There we will have time to do a city tour and later on to enjoy its lovely nightlife!

Day 2: Having a Great Taste of the rainforest!

Stop At: Tungurahua, Banos Ecuador
We leave at 08h30, towards the avenue of the waterfalls. On the way we are able to admire the hydroelectric dam and many waterfalls such as: “Gate to Heaven”
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Cascada el Manto de la Novia, 11 km on the road Baños-Puyo, Banos 180250 Ecuador
We will use a cable car to get across the Pastaza River canyon!
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Pailon del Diablo (Devil's Cauldron), Rio Verde - 18Km From Banos, Banos Ecuador
Afterwards we will hike one hour down to “Pailón del Diablo”.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Yana Cocha, Via Puyo Tena, Puyo 160150 Ecuador
After lunch, we descend to the eastern flanks of the Andes to the city of Puyo, located at 800 meters above sea level. There we will experience weather change and Amazon vegetation! We will go to Yanacocha Animal Rescue Center, where we can see important Amazon fauna species of the region such as monkeys, parrots, macaws, alligators, charapas, peccaries and turtles in their natural environment!

Stop At: Quito Old Town, Quito Ecuador
After this great adventure, we will be back in Quito approximately at 18h30, totally amazed about the big variety of ecosystems and wildlife of Ecuador!
