Meet your guide near the Arch of Constantine in central Rome, and set off on your private, skip-the-line 3-hour tour.
With your guide, bypass the main ticket lines to the Colosseum and head inside this majestic amphitheater, the biggest and most famous in the ancient Roman world. As you explore, listen as your guide tells you of the stadium’s history and the events held here during the days of the Roman Empire.
Despite damage by fires, earthquakes and looting, this incredible structure has survived the centuries and is still the most impressive monument that remains from Roman times.
After your visit, continue on to the site of the Roman Forum, the center of Roman life for centuries. The Forum was the setting for triumphal processions, elections, public speeches, criminal trials, and gladiatorial matches, and the epicenter of commercial activity in the ancient city.
Having explored here, your guide will lead you on a walk up the Palatine Hill, stand 131 feet (40 meters) above the Forum. The Palatine is the centermost of Rome’s famous Seven Hills and one of its main archaeological sites.
From here, soak up the stunning views down over the Forum on one side and the Circus Maximus, the site of Rome’s ancient chariot-racing track, on the other.
Your tour concludes at Palatine Hill in the early afternoon, when your guide says goodbye.
