Stop At: Centro Historico de Evora, Evora 7000 Portugal

The Historic Center of Évora encompasses the urban perimeter delimited by the 16th century city walls, which effectively delimited it until the 19th century, when the new extramural expansion began. The initial urban core of Évora, still formed during the Roman colonization period, was confined by walls that maintained the same perimeter during the Goda and Arab occupation, being defined by the so-called "old fence". In this area lies the monumental area of the municipality housing the Roman temple and the Sé.

Stop At: Templo Romano de Evora (Templo de Diana), Largo do Conde de Vila Flor Dentro da Muralha, Evora 7000-804 Portugal

One of the most important Roman monuments in Portugal, it is located at the highest point of the city and was part of the Roman forum. The construction took place between the 1st and 3rd centuries and is believed to honor Emperor Augustus, but later became known as Temple of Diana.

Built between the 13th and 14th centuries in a Gothic style, the Évora Cathedral is one of the most important medieval cathedrals in the country, having been inspired by the Lisbon Cathedral.

The São Francisco Church in Évora is a church of Gothic-Manueline architecture. Built between 1480 and 1510, it is closely linked to the historical events that marked the period of Portugal's maritime expansion. This influence is evident in the symbols that make up the monumental vaulted nave where you can see the cross of the Order of Christ as well as the emblems of the founding kings Dom John II and Dom Manuel I.

Located in the Church of San Francisco, it was built in the 18th century and was completely lined with human bones. It is also known for the famous phrase written at the entrance "We bones that are here for your hope". This chapel of skulls and bones was built on the site of the brothers' dormitory and reflection room. It is formed by three naves of about 18,70m of length and 11m of width. Natural light strategically enters these ships through only three small cracks on the left.
