The Portillo Ski Center is located approximately 2 hours north of Santiago. It's the first ski center in South America to become venue of the Alpine World Ski Championship in 1966. Portillo surprises visitors with its beauty because this unique ski center possesses a big lagoon called “Laguna del Inca” (Inca’s Lagoon). There are numerous activities for you to chose from once you arrive at the ski area or you can stay in the lodge and relax.

The Monument to the Victory of Chacabuco, also known as the Monument to the Battle of Chacabuco (truly To the Victory of Chacabuco). Is a monument that commemorates the Battle of Chacabuco which took place on February 12, 1817. It was designed by Héctor Román Latorre and built in 1971. It is 20 meters tall.

Los Andes, founded in July 31, 1791 as Santa Rosa de Los Andes, is a Chilean city and commune located in the province of the same name, in Valparaíso Region ("Fifth Region" of Chile). It lies on the route between Santiago and Chile's primary border crossing with Argentina by way of the summit of the Uspallata Pass in the Andes mountain range.

Legend tells that the spirit of the Inca, Illi Yunqui, that haunts the watery tomb in which he buried his soul-mate, the Princess Kora-Illé, who had tragically fallen from a cliff during a royal mountain banquet (a nascu). The Inca Yunqui, whose grief shook the mountain, believed that no earthly grave could compare with this lake. Shrouded in white linen, she was lowered into the blue depths in the presence of the grief-stricken imperial court. From that moment, the waters were tinted with the emerald shade of the beautiful eyes that the heir of the sun could awaken no more.

Located 28 kilometers from the city, by the International road. It is a geological formation produced by erosion, with impressive rocky walls at the bottom of which the Aconcagua River passes. Halfway up, between tunnels, the Trasandino railway is visible. It is called Salto del Soldado by the legend that is related in this regard: a patriotic soldier managed to avoid the realistic persecution, making a spectacular jump over this natural formation.
