Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Centro Historico de Evora, Evora 7000 Portugal

The Historic Center of Évora encompasses the urban perimeter delimited by the 16th century city walls, which effectively delimited it until the 19th century, when the new extramural expansion began. The initial urban core of Évora, still formed during the Roman colonization period, was confined by walls that maintained the same perimeter during the Goda and Arab occupation, being defined by the so-called "old fence". In this area lies the monumental area of the municipality housing the Roman temple and the Sé.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Templo Romano de Evora (Templo de Diana), Largo do Conde de Vila Flor Dentro da Muralha, Evora 7000-804 Portugal

One of the most important Roman monuments in Portugal, it is located at the highest point of the city and was part of the Roman forum. The construction took place between the 1st and 3rd centuries and is believed to honor Emperor Augustus, but later became known as Temple of Diana.

Duration: 10 minutes

Stop At: Praca do Giraldo, Evora 7000-508 Portugal

Giraldo Square is the main square in Évora. This place has witnessed important moments in the history of Portugal, such as: the execution of Fernando, Duque de Bragança, in 1483; the public burning of the victims of the Inquisition in the 16th century; or the intense debates about land reform during the 1970s.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Capela dos Ossos, Praca 10 de Maio 4, Evora 7000-650 Portugal

Located in the Church of San Francisco, it was built in the 18th century and was completely lined with human bones. It is also known for the famous phrase written at the entrance "We bones that are here for your hope". This chapel of skulls and bones was built on the site of the brothers' dormitory and reflection room. It is formed by three naves of about 18,70m of length and 11m of width. Natural light strategically enters these ships through only three small cracks on the left.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Igreja de Sao Francisco, Praca 1 de Maio, Evora 7000-656 Portugal

The São Francisco Church in Évora is a church of Gothic-Manueline architecture. Built between 1480 and 1510, it is closely linked to the historical events that marked the period of Portugal's maritime expansion. This influence is evident in the symbols that make up the monumental vaulted nave where you can see the cross of the Order of Christ as well as the emblems of the founding kings Dom John II and Dom Manuel I.
