Experience the Icelandic horse tradition on a small farm, located just 20 minutes from downtown Reykjavik. Despite being so close to the city, you will feel like you are deep in the countryside when you arrive at the farm. There just a small number of horses here and tours are always operated just for you and your private group, so that they have an intimate, personal and authentic feel. We will take you on a horse riding tour to Lake Hafravatn, where you can admire the scenery while spending time with our friendly horses. This is an excellent tour for first time riders and experienced riders alike.

We will meet the horses and then go out for aprox 2 hour riding tour. During the tour we will ride towards lake Hafravatn. The ride will take us through different types of riding roads. The area has a lot of History and was a huge military spot during the Second World War and some believe that a lot of military equipment is to be found at the bottom of the lake.

It can be said that the WW II ended an era in Icelandic history that was characterised by self-sufficiency farming. During this trip you will ride through old farming lands where the city and the country side meet.
