Private Tour: Agra Day Trip from Delhi

Discover the ancient city of Agra over the course of this 10-12 hour day tour. See the wonders of the Taj Mahal as your private driver waits by the vehicle. Then, explore the medieval structure known as the Agra Fort before it is time to return to your Delhi hotel.

Begin your day at 7:00am after getting picked up from your Delhi hotel and begin the 3.5 hour drive to Agra. Upon your arrival, you will have the opportunity to see the Taj Mahal. The mausoleum is home to Mumtaz Mahal, former wife of the Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan. Famed for its ivory-marble composition, you will have ample time to take photos. After a couple of hours, break for a traditional lunch at 1:00pm in one of the nearby local neighborhoods.

Once you have finished eating, take time to visit the Agra Fort, the well-known walled, medieval city. It is a declared UNESCO World Heritage Site, open and ready for viewing. See the red sandstone architectural work, once known as an imperial city. Bring historical material with you so you may learn of the background of this ancient area as you explore. Come 3:00pm, it will be time to board your awaiting vehicle and begin the drive back to Delhi. Return to your accommodations by 7:00pm.
