Private Tour of Quintessential Gardens of Kent and Sussex starting in Ashford

Enjoy the magnificent scenery of rural Kent as you drive through winding country lanes to 16th century Sissinghurst Castle with its remarkable gardens, planted in the 20th century by Vita Sackville-West. After lunch in an iconic Kentish village, you continue to Great Dixter, a Tudor house in East Sussex redesigned by architect Edwin Lutyens.The magnificent garden was developed in the Arts and Craft style by Christopher Lloyd, a well known garden writer and television personality, who lived there throughout his life and made it famous.

The starting point for this private excursion can be either Ashford (Kent), Canterbury, Dover or Folkestone. The pick-up and drop-off point in these areas may be at any hotel, railway station (including High Speed from London St Pancras) or the Port of Dover (cruise or ferry terminal); please advise your preferred pick-up point at the time of booking.

Transportation is arranged in a private air-conditioned 7-seater vehicle and commentary will be provided by a qualified driver-guide.

Your first visit will be the stunning Sissinghurst Castle and Garden before making a stop in a local village for lunch (own expense). In the afternoon, you continue to Great Dixter House and Garden, or if preferred, Scotney Castle.
