Day 1: Chennai – Mahabalipuram – Pondicherry
Stop At: Varaha Cave Temple, Kancheepuram District, Mahabalipuram India
The temples are locally known as Rathas and were constructed by chiseling out the exterior face of a boulder. In addition, the 7th century Shore Temples are also located in Mahabalipuram along the shores of the Bay of Bengal.

Day 2: Pondicherry – Chennai
Stop At: Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Rue de la Marine, Pondicherry India
The Ashram was established in 1926 by Shree Aurobindo and 'The Mother'. Together they explored the possibilities of yoga and meditation as a path to salvation. At the ashram, residents continue to practice their teachings.

The museum has an eclectic collection of art, Pallava sculptures and more.

See the exterior of the unique golf-ball shaped temple called the Matri Mandir, that is thronged by yoga practitioners.

Located at a distance of 8 kms from north-west Pondicherry is The Auroville city. The City of Dawn as it is called was conceived as a place for research into ideal of human unity by Mirra Alfassa the spiritual collaborator of Sri Aurobindo. Auroville was built initially as a city where people could live with peace and progressive harmony, above all creeds, politics and nationalities.
