At 50 minutes east of Bordeaux, the Saint-Emilion vineyards and medieval village are classified at the Unesco World Heritage, for its "cultural landscape". It is a must-see when travelling to the the Bordeaux region.
The troglodyte church, dugged into the limestone in the 12th century, is one of the incredible monuments of the village.
Some of the very best red wines are produced around by some highly prestigious châteaux.
