Pass By: Humayun's Tomb, Mathura Road Opp Nizamuddin Mosque, New Delhi 110013 India
At 9:00 AM, your chauffeur, along with a skilled English speaking guide will pick you up from your hotel and embark with you on your Delhi City tour. Upon arrival at the Red Fort, you will travel by rickshaw from the parking area to the entrance of Red Fort. Built by Shah Jahan, the construction of the Red Fort was completed in 9 years. The fort was ruled by the Mughal dynasty for around 200 years and also established as the political center of Mughals. The last Mughal emperor who ruled here was Bahadur Shah Zafar. The fort has several palaces, mosques and a museum which exhibits the antique and royal items of the Mughal era.
After your old Delhi visit, we will drive to the heart of Delhi and take a break for photography on the Delhi India Gate, before driving onward to famous buildings such as the Indian President House and Parliament House. After that, you will sit down for a mouth-watering lunch at a local restaurant.
Following this, you will drive to visit Humanyu Tomb, which was built in 1565 A.D., 9 years after the death of Humayun. This UNESCO approved World Heritage Site was built by Hamida Banu Begum, wife of Humanyun.
Following this tomb visit, you will visit the Qutub Minar, a 72.5-meter tall minaret built by Qutub-ud-din Aibak in the year 1193. This five-story tower is made up of red sandstone, marble, and sandstone. After exploring all the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Delhi, you will be returned to your hotel, marking the conclusion of your tour.
