Itinerary

Stop At: Montana de Siete Colores, Cusco 084 Peru

The start of the walk is at 4600 meters above sea level, the watchtower of the Vinicunca mountain at 5040 meters above sea level. About 3.5 km separate the two places. It takes about 2 hours to get up. The lack of oxygen due to altitude makes the climb difficult and not the height difference. The traveller spends about 30 minutes at the watchtower. It is also possible to continue the ascent for about fifteen minutes in order to be able to contemplate the Red Valley below.

Lunch on site.

The descent takes about 1 hour. Return by minibus, arriving in Cusco around 19:00.
