Itinerary

The Rainbow Mountain hike is one of the most popular hikes in Peru. Vinicunca mountain (5000+ masl) is a demanding trek and we recommend it for people with a good level of stamina.
In the way back it is possible to visit the red valley, which is maybe as impressive as the rainbow mountain.

The hike takes around 2.5 hours.

Make sure to get to Cusco at least 2 days before the hike, so you can avoid altitude sickness.

Itinerary:
4:45 am: Pick-up from your hotel in Cusco

6:30 am: Breakfast in local restaurant

9:30 am: Arrival at the parking lot (view of rainbow mountain) + Briefing

11:30 am: Visit of the rainbow mountain

12:00 am: Head back to the car and drive to the restaurant

1:50 pm: Lunch in local restaurant

4:30 pm: Arrival in Cusco and drop-off at your hotel
