First, arrive at 1301 East Cary St in the historic Shockoe Slip neighborhood. You'll begin by checking in at our front desk and choosing a helmet from our colorful selection.
Next, you'll depart for training with your experienced tour guide, learning to ride a Segway PT in just 10-15 minutes! Once trained, you'll cruise with ease towards the Haxall Canal to see past and present collide with the beginning of Richmond's recorded history in 1607 at the Christopher Newport Cross and the vibrant Canal Walk Murals from 2012. From there, continue on to sites like Brown’s Island featuring rich Civil War history and beautiful views of the mighty James River, the Virginia State Capitol designed by Thomas Jefferson, and many other locations abundant with amazing stories and sights!
The riveting stories of history include enduring icons like Washington, Lincoln and Edgar Allan Poe; as well as often unsung figures from Virginia’s past, including Barbara Johns, Garland H. White and the Batteau Men of the James River and Kanawha Canal.
