Check in at the V&A Waterfront’s helipad, and then board your helicopter to head to the skies of Cape Town!
Leaving the V&A Waterfront and its busy harbor behind, your first airborne view is the magnificent City Bowl, unfolding in front of your eyes. The stunning amphitheater-shaped bowl is framed by Table Bay, and bordered by several of Cape Town’s most famous mountain peaks. As you soar through the skies, your pilot will give a running commentary to make sure no points of interest are missed out!
Your pilot then heads out towards the world famous Robben Island, that is nestled 5 nautical miles from the mainland. This island is known best for the prison that is situated on it and where the iconic Nelson Mandela was incarcerated for 18 of his 27 years in prison.
As you approach the island your pilot will descend and perform a low level circumnavigation of the island to allow you the best possible views of the prison, the village and the wild life.
On route back you will see post card views of the Mother City nestled in front of table Mountain.
