Itinerary

Day 1: DAY 1: CUSCO / SACRED VALLEY

Stop At: Pisac Peru
Exclusive and deep experience through the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Our tour begins at Awana Kancha, complex where you will have a contact and feed with the andean camelids such as llamas and alpacas. Locals will show you the weaving and dyeing techniques of their traditional textiles. Then, we will go up to the inca city of Pisac, located at the top of the mountain. This is a unique place, and have the opportunity to see an Inti Huatana (solar watch). Then, we will go down to the colonial town of Pisac. Walking tour and shopping time in the handicraft market. Then, we will head to the Inkariy Museum. Time to enjoy our lunch inside. Guided tour of the museum to learn more about the numerous rooms where cultural representations of pre-Hispanic civilizations of ancient Peru are exhibited. Ending the day, transfer to your hotel booked by your own.

Day 2: DAY 2: SACRED VALLEY / CUSCO OR OLLANTAYTAMBO TRAIN STATION

Stop At: Archaeological Park Ollantaytambo, Ollantaytambo 08676 Peru
We will start visiting the Living Culture Yucay Museum, which mission is to preserve and value the different cultural and agricultural activities of the Sacred Valley. Also, we will visit the interpretation centres of adobe manufacturing, traditional chicheria store and folklore. Then, our adventure continues exploring the less visited treasures of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We will start in Moray where the view is awesome due to the colossal concentric terraces simulating an amphitheatre. The purpose of it is to recreate 20 different types of microclimates, a measure that guaranteed the agricultural production of the empire. After that, we will go to Maras, the famous and millenary salt mines from colonial times. The contrast of the white wells and the green valley is impressive and a must for a spectacular snapshot of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Buffet lunch. In the afternoon, we will visit the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo, where we will be able to learn about the technique with which the Incas worked the stones. Finally, we will return to Cusco or transfer to the railway station.
