Waterfront Charters offers Sailing in The Bay aboard two beautiful catamarans.
1) Esperance, a 16m (50 ft.) schooner with twin masts and twin seating areas
2) Serenity One, a 12m (40 ft.) state-of-the-art sailing catamaran.
Cruise departure time is 11h00 and 13h00 from the Quay 5, V&A Waterfront, Cape Town.
Cruises are subject to wind speed and direction, and the skippers always choose the most comfortable course. During the summer season the route is often across Table Bay towards Milnerton Lighthouse. In winter months, the direction is often along the Clifton coastline or towards Robben Island. Chilled refreshments are served throughout (cash bar available). Lunch add-on available.
For all the vessels, when the seas are running too high or the wind is unpleasantly strong, instead of heading into Table Bay the destination is the Cape Town Harbour for a Harbour Day Cruise or a Harbour Lights Cruise. This safety feature is a perfect alternative, offering magical views of the harbour, Cape Town and Table Mountain. In extreme conditions, the skipper will take every aspect into account, and even stay dockside to ensure the safety of the passengers.
