On the drive over to the Saint Herman's Blue Hole Park, your tour guide will share the history of Belize. Once you arrive, it will be time to hike. On the hike to the cave through the jungle, you can either go on the low land trail which is an easy walk lasting no more than 15 minutes, or take the high land trail, which lasts 30 to 35 minutes and this a much more challenging. Entering the Saint Herman's cave will take your breath away as it is so unique and pristine just to wonder how the Mayan people even used the cave for their own religious practices. You will see bats, stalagmites and stalactites and crystal formations.
After exploring the cave, you will head back out to the parking lots and drive over the inland Blue Hole a half mile drive away. Once there, you will change into your swim suits and dive in! The Blue Hole is a natural sunken collapsed cave system and part of it is about 30 plus feet deep, giving it a blue color. There are a few different type of fish in the water but all are harmless. After enjoying the cool, refreshing water, you will head back to Belize City at around 1:30pm.
