• Our first stop of the day is at the Citadel. Constructed in 1176 by the famous Egyptian king Saladin El Ayouby, the citadel has become a popular tourist attraction and landmark of Cairo. The site hosts many interesting structures, such as the Mosque of Mohamed Ali, the military museum, and the structure of the Citadel itself is quite remarkable.
