Stop At: Megalochori 847 00, Greece

Megalochori is a beautiful traditional village and consists the heart of agriculture production of Santorini. We will walk through the “kadounia”, stone pathways forming a maze, where you can feel the authentic island vibe of the island, away from the tourist masses. There we will spot the “Canaves” traditional wine cellars where the wine is pressed and stored.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Gavalas Winery, Megalochori, Santorini, Greece, Megalochori 847 00 Greece

Canava Gavalas is a small scale, family run winery where wine production adheres to the centuries long Santorinian tradition. Our gastronomical experience begins with tasting three varieties of Santorinian wines – Asyrtiko, Vinsanto and Nychteri – accompanied with local delicacies such as Greek cheeses and oven baked bread.

Duration: 40 minutes

Stop At: Saint Anna, Santorini 847 00, Greece

Anydro Farm produces, processes and exports a variety of local organic products, with tomato “caviar” paste being one of the most celebrated Santorinian products among the international food critic society. The farm is a series of traditional caves, located in the virtual undiscovered South East part of the island, accessed by a dirt road, encircled by pumice stone canyons and traditional farmlands. We will hand pick local products from the farm and we will offer you a master class in how to prepare some traditional seasonal dishes. During dinner, the producer, Petros Oikonomou will vividly introduce you to waterless farming of Tomataki (cherry tomato), Fava (yellow beans), Melitzana (white and green eggplant), Kolokithi (zucchini), Kapari (capers), Fragosyko (Prickly pears), Katsouni (cucumber) and Karpouzi (water melon).

Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Venetsanos Winery, Eparchiaki Odos Firon-Ormou Perissis, Megalochori 84701 Greece

Venetsanos Winery was built in 1947 and became the first industrial winery on the island, using Caldera morphology to optimize wine production. During our last stop, we will visit Venetsanos Experience Winery Museum and we will drink a splendid glass of Venetsanos wine overlooking the sun radiating breathtaking sunset colors over the famous caldera and volcanic bay. An image you will never forget!
