Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi - Lao Cai

Stop At: Hanoi, Hanoi
20:30: Transfer from your hotel to Tran Quy Cap Train Station for on the overnight sleeper train to Lao Cai.

Relax on board the air-conditioned train, and arrive refreshed at approximately 6AM the next morning.

Day 2: Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Van

Stop At: Ta Van, Ta Van, Lao Cai Province
From the train station (arrival time in between 5.30 and 6.30am, depending on your train) our driver (he will show a sign with your name(s)) will pick you up for a 1 hour+ drive to the hotel.

You will have breakfast at the hotel before we start our 12km trekking to visit Lao Chai village, inhabited by Hmong people. The trekking route offers some challenges as you balance on the rice terraces and a small trail on the steep mountainside. The vegetation is dense as the trail leads up to a peaceful village perched on the Hoang Lien mountainside. We head downhill and relax at a local stream for a picnic lunch. After lunch, we continue trekking to Ta Van village, inhabited by Dzay people where we have a unique home stay experience.

We will overnight in the homestay in Ta Van village.

Day 3: Ta Van - Giang Ta Chai – Supan - Sapa – Hanoi

Stop At: Su Pan, Su Pan, Lao Cai Province
After breakfast, we start the day with an easy trek of 10 km to visit 2 villages, which are inhabited, by red Dzao and Hmong people, Giang Ta Chai and Su Pan.

The trekking will take you along local paths, up and down rice terraces and into the villages and home of local hill tribes. Enjoy a beautiful waterfall and rattan bridge with picturesque landscapes… We head though the bamboo forest on the way to the main road to get the jeep to return to Sapa.

At 5pm (depending on your train time) you will be transferred by bus to Lao Cai train station for your overnight train back to Hanoi.

You will arrive early in Hanoi, around 5am at Tran Quy Cap station. Tour ends.

Day 4: Hanoi Arrival

Stop At: Hanoi, Hanoi
Return to Sapa for transfer to Lao Cai Railway Station after dinner at the hotel, the return train ride to Hanoi.

Tour services end at Hanoi Train Station, from where you can easily catch a taxi to hotels in the Old Quarter. Or a walk about 10 minutes to Hotels in Old Quarter of Hanoi.
