On this 2 hour walking tour you will visit some of the few areas of Tudor London that have survived to this day. We will guide you through the City of London, stopping regularly to delve into different aspects of the life and works of the world’s most famous playwright. Your guide will also recite some of Shakespeare’s greatest works along the way.
Your expert guide and actor will guide you through the city highlighting the nooks and crannies of Tudor and medieval London that Shakespeare would have been familiar with. During the tour you will learn about the 16th and 17th century London that helped shape some of Shakespeare’s most well-known plays, and see the locations that inspired some of the most famous speeches ever to have been written. You will pass church locations Shakespeare knew and see where adaptations of Shakespeare’s 37 plays have been performed countless times.
