Short Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek – 2 Days

The shortest and scenic adventure that you can find in the whole Himalaya. Where walk leads you to the most spectacular country enclosed by the beautiful forest of tall rhododendron trees. In springtime, hills are alive with wildflowers in season in Mini Short Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek. A picturesque place to experience in our short Ghorepani and Poon Hill Trekking, where we organize a private jeep ride from your hotel in Pokhara and then drive to reach a hill village at Ulleri. And then start walking with a slow climb to reach Ghorepani village. Ghorepani village surrounded by a green forest of rhododendron trees and listed as the world’s natural garden. Which you can witness in springtime where wild-flowers are in blooming time in the month of March to May.

Itinerary

Day 01: Drive to Ulleri 1,960 m from Pokhara 860 m and trek to Ghorepani 2,880 m (3 hrs drive and 04-05hrs walk) overnight in Ghorepani.
Morning drive leads you to Ulleri village with views of Annapurna South and top of Machhapuchare Himal. On reaching Ulleri village where our walk starts heading past Bhanthati village, and then into the cool forest covered with tall rhododendron-magnolia-oaks-pines and fir trees as the walk continues with slow up to Ghorepani village for an overnight stop. Ghorepani populated by Poon people of the Magar tribe located beneath Poon Hill's viewpoint.

Day 02: Morning hike to Poon Hill 3,210 m and trek to Ulleri and drive to Pokhara - 06 hrs with drives and walks.
An early morning starts where an hour hike takes you on top scenic view-point at Poon Hill located 3,210 m high, enjoy stunning sunrise views over chain of Himalayan mountains from Dhaulagiri, Mustang Himal, Nilgiri’s, Annapurna, Machhapuchare Himal the famous Fish-Tail peak with Lamjung and Manaslu range of peaks.
After a scenic and dramatic moment descend to Ghorepani having breakfast continue downhill within forested area past Bhanthati village to reach Ulleri and drive to Pokhara.
