Venture on the Short 2-day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, enjoy a unique experience, and visit the Lost City of the Incas differently from the crowd.

It begins at km 104 of the railroad that goes to Machu Picchu, at an altitude of 2150 meters / 7053 feet. The highest point is the Sun Gate (2,730 meters / 8,956 feet.) It has 10.5 km / 6.5 miles and lasts 6 hours at a moderate pace.

It is recommended for families traveling with children and for those who do not have much time in Cusco.

Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco – Inca Trail – Aguas Calientes

Stop At: Cusco, Cusco, Cusco Region
At 4:00 a.m. Our staff and private mobility will pass through your hotel in Cusco to transfer you to the Ollantaytambo train station. Take the Expedition or Voyager Train that departs at 6:10 a.m. or at 6:40 a.m. respectively and travel for 1 hour and 17 minutes to km. 104 of the railroad and with your professional Guide, pass the checkpoint of the Inca Trail.

Begin your tour by visiting the archaeological site of Chachabamba. Then, continue on a beautiful path to the Wiñaywayna archaeological site, where you will have enough time to explore and have lunch. Then, from Sun Gate (2730 meters / 8956 ft), admire the impressive panoramic view of the Inca city of Machu Picchu.

At 3:30 p.m. Take a bus to Aguas Calientes, settle in at the selected hotel and 6:30 p.m., enjoy a delicious dinner.

Day 2: Tour Machu Picchu – Cusco

Stop At: Santuario Historico de Machu Picchu, Machu Picchu Peru
After breakfast, take the bus to the Inca city of Machu Picchu and take a Guided Tour for 2 and a half hours. Your Professional Guide will explain all the details of the Lost City of the Incas. After the tour, in your free time, if you booked Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu mountain (Optional), you can climb on your own.

After all, at the indicated time, take a bus to the city of Aguas Calientes and have lunch on your own. In the afternoon, head to the station and board your return train to Ollantaytambo station. Upon your arrival, our staff and private mobility will be waiting for you to transfer you to your Hotel in Cusco.
