Itinerary
You'll join me in the studio, we will discuss basic designs and measure your finger. I will make you a drink, give you an apron and you will sit at the workbench. The first stage is to saw your silver to length. I will then teach you how to pattern, texturise and/or stamp personalise your piece. By this stage the silver will need to be annealed, I will explain why and teach you how to use the torch. You will then forge your ring to shape and saw it to size. It is then ready to be soldered, I will explain the process and you will use the torch to join the ring. I will then teach you how to use the metal files to clean the join, buff any scratches and polish the whole ring up ready to wear. Sessions for one or two people last between 2-3hours.
Please note due to current guidelines face masks need to be worn throughout the workshop experience.
