Next, you’ll walk to the Arch of Constantine and the Forum, both located close to the Colosseum. The Forum was at the centre of life in Ancient Rome, a hub for politics, religion and commerce. Here you’ll find the ruins of the Temple of Julius Caesar, built on the site of his cremation, the Arch of Titus, House of the Vestal Virgins, the Senate House and the Basilica of Maxentius, to name but a few.

One of the most distinctive monuments in Rome today is Il Vittoriano; built in 1885 in honour of King Victor Emmanuel II.
