Snowy Volcano Tour of Tolima

The snow of Tolima is located in the Colombian Andean central mountain range, its conical shape makes an almost perfect mountain, this crossing part of the eastern slope in the valley of Antwerp, Anzoátegui, allows to observe complex lagoons such as the meteorological lagoon `` bombona, valleys and mountains loaded with ancestral history. This crossing allows you to enjoy a bath in the hot springs after a wonderful peak and one of the best views of the (Los Nevados National Natural Park)
 

Itinerary

Day 1: PALOMAR --LA PUNTA - CANNON TERMINALS

Stop At: Anzoátegui Municipality, Anzoátegui, Tolima, Tolima, Colombia
Start our adventure at 5 am, taking our 4x4 jeep transport, during this tour we will observe imposing landscapes such as the framed golden snake of the Magdalena Valley, the hill of Juan Beima, better known as Juan Beima's tit, we will appreciate valleys loaded with indigenous stories, a journey that is enjoyable in the middle of the different green of the mountains, after this we have a peasant breakfast, recharging energy to start our trekking; After heading towards the sector of the tip, there will end our tour by car, carrying the equipment to the mules, during this tour we will visit the Anzoátegui lagoon complex; between these lagoons, the second largest in the snowy park, after 4 hours of crossing through the moor we will arrive at the vancuver estate, here we will take our lunch with one of the best views of the snowy Tolima (if the weather permits ) .We proceed to continue our trekking to the canyon thermal farm where our day will end, with a well-deserved rest and bath in hot springs. Day 2: CAÑÓN-CAMPO B. ARENALES TERMINALS

Stop At: Parque Nacional Natural Los Nevados, Eje Cafetero, Manizales Colombia
After having breakfast and arranging the mule equipment, you will walk to the base of the snowy Tolima for 4 hours, this day the trekking will be short, saving energy and gaining height. (4400 masl) Our team will make an introductory talk about the use of technical equipment.

 4 Hours -8 Km Shelter: Tent

Day 3: CIMA VOLCAN NEVADO DEL TOLIMA 5232 MSNM

Stop At: Parque Nacional Natural Los Nevados, Eje Cafetero, Manizales Colombia
We will have a hot drink and prepare our equipment for the ascent (2:00 am) This section will be the most demanding, we will walk through moraine and sandy grounds to the helipad (advanced camp) characterized by rocky areas and little technical sticks, after to reach the glacier edge, we proceed to prepare our high mountain equipment, and ascend our last stretch of the shimmer glacial field), culminating our ascent and fulfilling our snow-capped peak of Tolima, after appreciating the view of other snowy peaks (if the weather lets) We will take a short break at the summit; We descend to the countryside, canyons, canyons hot springs, there we will have lunch and notice.

Day 4: Canyon Thermal Break

Stop At: Parque Nacional Natural Los Nevados, Eje Cafetero, Manizales Colombia
After having a breakfast in the hot springs of the canyon we go to the school the jump, cozy rural inn, here Mrs. Flor receives us with all the heat of the field, after tasting a delicious dinner next to the wood stove we will notice in bed.

Day 5: Field Experiences

Stop At: Combeima Canyon, Salida Por el barrio el Libertador 18 Km Armenia - Ibague, Ibague 730018 Colombia
After milking and delighting a delicious breakfast we continue with our treek taking the high of the snows, the last strong section of this journey. Then finish in the high Andean forest (descent 4 hours) to end the expedition with a typical lunch on the sidewalk together, canyon of the combeima.
