We will start our tour in Palma, a city that was founded as a Roman camp on the remains of a Talayotic settlement. The city was subjected to several vandal raids during the fall of the Western Roman Empire, then reconquered by the Byzantine Empire, later colonized by the Moors (who called it Medina Mayurqa) and, in the 13th century, by Jaime I of Aragon.
From here we will start our route to the northwest of the island. Ready?

This beautiful Mallorcan mountain village, its ancient and cobbled streets, was once occupied by Georges Sand and Chopin, either to live or to visit, it should definitely not be missed. Its most famous attraction is the Monastery, the palace that belonged to King Sancho.
