Our Solvang food tour starts in Centennial Plaza and will walk you through the the downtown neighborhood streets where you will taste traditional Danish and local artisan food and drink unique to Solvang and the Central Coast. Along the way, you’ll get immersed in the local culture and hear interesting stories about each place you’ll visit.

You’ll also learn easy-to-shoot food photo tips from your pro tour guide on this foodie photography tour and take your photo skills to the next level using your smartphone’s camera app. By the end of your 4 hour tour, you’ll be eating like a local and shooting like a pro!

Begin your 4-hour Solvang walking tour at a central location, located near Birkholm's Bakery and the Santa Ynez Mission. This quaint quirky town, known as "California's Denmark", is where you’ll meet your guide for your afternoon food tasting and photography tour. Numbers are limited to 10 people for a small-group experience.

Set out on foot at a moderate pace as your informative guide shares insights into Solvang’s history and burgeoning artisan foods, wine, and craft beer scene. Keep your smartphone ready so you can practice the helpful photography tips your guide offers along the way. You'll have multiple opportunities to take documentary-style photos and colorful portraits in the unique Danish setting.

Along the way, your guide stops for food and drink tastings (all included) at six eateries, a wine bar, and one speakeasy taproom. Learn how to properly position your food and drinks for the best photos as you sample local fare.
