Enjoy a memorable wine tasting of 5 medal-winning wines combined with a history tour at the family-owned local winery DiVes!

The tasting is accompanied by appetizers and water:
- Rhodopean trout with a Muscat;
- Vegetables (fresh and dried) from Thrace with a Rosé;
- Bulgarian cheese from Plovdiv region with a Merlot;
- Lukanka (local salami) from Stara Planina Mountain with a Pamid (the oldest Bulgarian wine variety);
- Chocolate sticks with DiVes Sweet wine.

The winery offers a big tasting hall for 50 people and a free bus/car parking.

Our greatest honor has been to be recognized for the high quality of DiVes Estate wines at the most prestigious wine competition globally, Decanter World Wine 2014, with the first time ever Gold Medal awarded to Bulgaria, for our Merlo Barrique Special Selection 2012.

Itinerary

DiVes Winery is located close to the Town of Aheloy and Nesebar. It was built on the historic hill of Simeon’s Mound which has a magnificent view over the Black Sea coast between Aheloy and Pomorie.

Here, the Bulgarian king Simeon the Great defeated the Byzantine army in a grandiose battle in 917 A.D., thus affirming the power and position of Bulgaria. In honor of Simeon’s victory, we raised a monument named "The Eye of the Winner", which became a symbol for the winery and is invariably depicted on our wine label.

The highlights of the Special History and Wine tour are:
- The story of the Battle of Aheloy;
- A circular walk around the winery;
- Basic Wine production techniques;
- Combination of 5 excellent wines with 5 Bulgarian appetizers;
- Wonderful view over Nesebar, Aheloy and Pomorie;
