You will be picked up from your hotel and driven to a spice plantation.

On arrival at the plantation you will be greeted with a welcome drink (non-alcoholic). Then your guide will take you on a tour of the plantation. Walk around the plantation and get introduced to the spice plants and fruit trees as your guide tells you about their flowering and fruiting periods. Take in the smells around you as you walk past trees of cinnamon, nutmeg, pepper, cashew, coconut, areca nut, teak and many others.

Learn about organic farming. See how biogas is produced and watch the distillation of cashew Feni, which you can sample if you are of drinking age, along with the equally popular Urak. Children can try their hand at drawing water from a traditional well with a rope.
