After your driver picks you up at your hotel/accommodation you will have opportunity to visit Trsteno botanical garden which is situated 30min drive on north and during a 45 min visit you will explore a Renaissance garden built in 1492 full of exotic plants and trees. Next stop is the little village of Majkovi where you can taste some of the best domestic products our region has to offer: homemade cheeses, local olives, delicious dried meat, freshly baked bread, domestic honey made by our hosts, and of course a wide variety of homemade liquor and Croatian wine. Continuing along the high Napoleonic road you will enjoy a majestic view of the Elaphiti islands as we descend into Ston. Town is home of the oldest working salt factory in Europe, the second largest stone wall in Europe and some of the tastiest oysters in the Adriatic. Few brave tourists are interested in walking the walls, which span 5.5 kilometers of steep hillside, but if you prefer to take a swim, drink a coffee, or sample fresh oysters, your guide will be happy to accommodate.
On the way back to Dubrovnik, you will return to Majkovi for an extravagant homemade meal in the traditional Croatian style called “ispod Peke” in a 300 years old family house. Fresh goat cheese, vegetables from the garden and homemade dressing for salad, young goat or lamb selected for this occasion and slow cooked all day under a large iron bell, or 'Peka' are waiting for you. Seafood menu includes octopus or grilled fish. There can be no better way to finish off the day than enjoying a meal which is better than you could get in any restaurant in town. When arriving to Dubrovnik, your driver will drop you off at your accommodation.
