Surfing Lesson in Santa Barbara

Learn to surf in beautiful Santa Barbara! Your expert instructor will teach you how to stand up on your board and ride the perfect wave, offering tips on balance while ensuring your safety. All skill levels are welcome, and equipment rental is included. This Southern California city offers great outdoor activities like surfing year-round.

We'll email you the beach location where you'll meet your expert instructor and gather your provided rental equipment. Once you slip into your wetsuit, your guide will begin with instruction on the sand, where you’ll learn how to paddle and practice your stance.

Then, head out into the water! Your board is soft and stable, making it easier for you to learn how to surf. Lie on your board and paddle out with your instructor, who’ll be by your side to assist you when the waves come.

When the time is right, use the skills you’ve just learned to jump up on your board and ride a wave! You can test your skills plenty of times during your 1.5-hour lesson.
