Tandem Paragliding over the Rugged Lava Fields at Blue Mountains

This is a unique experience off the beaten path in Iceland. The tour is semi private as we only take very few people at a time. Expert paragliding instructors walk you through preparations and safety checks before they take off with you into the air. The paraglider has no motor and uses rising air to glide through the sky like a bird.

You need no prior experience. Relax and enjoy the sights as your pilot controls the paraglider and you soar over lavafields just outside Reykjavik. If you feel like it, take supervised control of the paraglider and learn the basics of free flight or ask your pilot to make some extra in-air adrenaline-filled moves.

Escape the other tourists and experience being a free flying bird alone in Iceland.

Itinerary

Paragliding over the amazing Icelandic volcanic landscape. From 500-900m above ground you will explore the moss covered lavaspreads shaped by volcanic eruptions. 360° view towards the Atlantic ocean, glaciers in the highlands, Reykjavik city and the South Coast.

Each experience is a one-on-one with your Paragliding Tandem Instructor Pilot, so you can choose your experience to be a smooth sightseeing ride or an adrenaline filled joyride, or something inbetween.

Bring your own camera at your own risk, or alternatively use our GoPro for an additional fee on the spot.

The experience is about 45-60 min total with preparation. The in-air time is usually 10-15 minutes depending on weather conditions.
