Telica 1 day with overnight camping

The Telica volcano is located 30 kilometers from the city of Leon and belongs to the Maribios mountain chain. It is 1060 meters high and its crater has a depth of 120 meters and 700 meters of diameter. The last violent eruption was in 1948.

Once arrived to the crater you can see the large amount of smoke and gases released by the volcano as well as lava or glowing stones inside.

The ascent of the volcano can be started from different points:
- La Quimera - Easy/Medium
- Cristo Rey - Easy
- San Jacinto - Easy/Medium

Depending on the difficulty you prefer.
- Climbing the volcano up to the crater
- Watch the glowing lava inside the volcano
- You can camp in the camping area just some meters below from the crater
