The Native Expedition - Sierra Nevada (3 days Awesomes view points)

This project was started by a group of peasant families who have decided to leave aside activities with a negative impact on the environment (like intensive agriculture and livestock) and work in tourism. These families saw that the place what has always been their home is a paradise of landscapes, biodiversity and cultural experiences. And now they want to show this paradise, and everything it offers, to the rest of the world. This trek is outside of others tourist treks saturated with visitors, wildlife full, ancient rainforests, impressive waterfalls, friendly people and stunning views of the mountains and the Caribbean Sea.
Of course, to get to the most beautiful places requires great effort, hiking along steep slopes, grass fields, forests and mountains. As such, it is necessary to be in a good physical and mental condition. You will be rewarded at the end of each day, when we will be welcomed, eat and sleep in the peasants houses where we will have a cultural exchange.

Itinerary

Day 1: Discovering The 3 Forests

Pass By: Parque Nacional Natural Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Minca, Santa Marta Municipality Colombia
(In the Attraction Minca appears, but in this day we will not pass through this town, we will go through the mountains):

A 9 km Trekking through the mountains of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, from the elevation of 950 M to reach a peak of 2,200 M, we will have lunch and spend the night at Finca La Lujana.

Accommodation included: Night in a humble peasant house in the middle of the mountains.

Day 2: Daily life

Pass By: Parque Nacional Natural Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Minca, Santa Marta Municipality Colombia
(In the Attraction Minca appears, but in this day we will not pass through this town, we will go through the mountains):

Cotidianity and cultural exchange with the rural family of La Lujana farm during the whole morning, then a trekking of 3 km going down pastisales in the mountain to a place at 1,600 M of altitude where we will spend the night (Finca: Palace of the Clouds).

Day 3: Awesome Panoramic

Pass By: Cerro Kennedy, Santa Marta, Santa Marta Municipality Colombia
(In the Attraction Minca appears, but in this day we will only pass through this town at the end of the day, the rest we will go through the mountains of the Sierra Nevada)

A trekking of approximately 15 km, most of this distance is through the depths of the forest that crosses the hills of the famous Mount San Lorenzo (or Cerro Kennedy) to our final destination, the town of La Tagua (1,600 m high) ), from where we will take the bikes back to the city.
